Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Owatonna, MN / Hybrid
Hours: Part-Time (30 hours per week)
Salary: $40,000/year

Who We Are: Alliance for Greater Equity (AGE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in Owatonna that aims
to embrace our community’s growing diversity and create change that leads to true inclusion
and belonging for all. We believe our community is strengthened when everyone is meaningfully
included, represented, and engaged. Often this means evaluating and changing systems and
barriers that have resulted in exclusion, which is where AGE comes in. AGE’s mission is

initiatives that focus on Advancing Equity and Creating Belonging and this is where the heart of
our work lies.
The Role: The Operations Manager supports the administration of the diversity, equity, and
inclusion (DEI) initiatives for AGE under direction from AGE’s Board of Directors. This role
focuses on implementation and execution of the operational and strategic initiatives for AGE’s
programs, projects, and processes. This could include leading AGE events, providing training
and workshops within the community, developing AGE’s advocacy program and providing an
equity lens to all programs, events and functions where AGE is represented.
The ideal candidate should have:
● A deep commitment to and knowledge of social justice, equity, and community change
● Experience in organizational leadership, preferably in a nonprofit environment
● Self-drive and motivation to execute organizational initiatives independently
● Strong organizational and communication skills
● Ability to build relationships, network with others, and be invested in the community
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management and Administrative Functions
● Serve as main point of contact for AGE operations
● Maintain schedules, timelines, and deliverables for AGE initiatives
● Support coordination of the planning, execution, and evaluation of AGE programs,
workshops, and events
● Write and apply for grants and create fund development strategies
● Develop reporting procedures and provide reports to the Board of Directors at their
monthly Board meetings
Communications
● Develop and distribute communications about AGE events, initiatives, and resources
● Support regular communication with the general public and partners through email,
newsletter management, etc.
● Public speaking, trainings, and presentations to community groups
● May be called on to support social media communications, depending on candidate’s
experience
Collaboration
● Serve as an advisor to the United Way of Steele County board to provide an equity lens
on United Way initiatives
● Provide training to and partner with community leaders to better implement diversity,
equity and inclusive practices
● Develop meaningful relationships with various community partners, emphasizing in-
person networking, meeting and event attendance, etc.
● Represent AGE at various public functions and community events
Qualifications
Required:
● Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or equivalent experience
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Resourceful and self-starter
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or similar tools
● Be located in or near Owatonna, MN
Preferred:
● Experience working with DEI-focused initiatives or projects, including DEI training
● Experience with successful grant writing or management
● Experience with data and reporting (i.e. collecting and analyzing performance metrics,
generating regular reports to highlight progress and areas of improvement, etc.)
● Experience working with various cultures
Work Environment
● Hybrid work schedule available
● Some evenings and weekends may be needed
